The steel pipe section is round, square or rectangular. More modern frame usually choose square or rectangular section of steel pipe, because the surface of this kind of steel pipe is beneficial to welding lug or support. Compared with the circular section steel tube frame, it is more convenient to position on the surface, which is beneficial to the adjustment of processing technology in the process of frame completion. Its disadvantage is that the strength of non circular section steel tube is slightly lower than that of circular section steel tube under the same weight.

The characteristic of tubular frame is that it can use small diameter steel pipe to form a large frame, which can get reasonable space for parts, which is beneficial to modeling and beautiful use, and has ideal strength and rigidity. This kind of frame is not only widely used for large displacement motorcycles, but also used for small displacement motorcycles. The utility model has the advantages of simple structure, convenient production and low cost.

Because there are many connecting parts in this kind of frame, especially in the frame with small diameter pipe space structure, the generation of connection can directly affect the strength and reliability of the frame. Forging and casting connectors were used to improve the reliability of the connection, but it is not conducive to mass production. With the development of modern welding technology and the improvement of production and processing technology level, such as the common use of gas shielded welding, the production of nozzle forming technology is completed (punching). The selection of CNC double die bending technology greatly improves the connection reliability between pipes, and is beneficial to mass production.

3. Frame generation by plate and tube: tube frame and plate frame are different, and frame generation is a frame method with both advantages. Specifically, the stamping steel plate is used to replace the complicated joint part of tubular frame.
