Spark plug maintenance

Spark plug is the core part of motorcycle engine. The normal combustion of mixed gas is the key to the normal operation of engine. First of all, each type of spark plug used by the engine has different models, mainly calorific value, thread size and so on. Therefore, it is necessary to use the standard model of spark plug.

When the engine burns normally, open the spark plug and observe that the electrode should be ochre red. If it turns black, there is carbon deposit, which indicates that the mixed gas is too rich and the combustion is not sufficient, so the carbon deposit should be cleaned up. Clean the carbon deposit in the central electrode groove and l electrode with a sharp cone; Adjust the spark plug clearance: GS125 (0.6-0.9mm), qs150t (0.7-0.8mm), carbon deposit on the spark plug will affect the good spark, and may lead to flameout; If it is found that the spark plug is easy to be wet or burnt grey, which indicates that the calorific value of the spark plug does not match, the appropriate spark plug should be removed and replaced at Qingqi Suzuki special repair shop

be careful:

1. Define the thread size and plug rod length. If the plug rod is too short, it will cause carbon deposition in the thread of the plug hole and damage the engine.

2. Before using the spark plug wrench, screw the spark plug into the thread of the cylinder head carefully by hand to avoid damage.

3. Tighten the spark plug to the specified tightening torque with the special tool spark plug sleeve.
